Guest Service Representative (Casual, On-call)

- Greets and registers arriving guests at check-in. Handles guest inquiries and addresses any reported problems quickly and efficiently. Keeps guest’s accounts current and documents all room changes. Checks out all departing guests. Communicates necessary information with other staff and departments. Maintains cash banks and issues/closes out safety deposit boxes. Handles all front desk accounting needs.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to work well with co-workers and within a “team atmosphere”. Detail oriented, pro-active. Ability to stay calm under pressure; Basic math skills, including percentages. Computer skills.
Bell Person (Casual, On-call)
Department: HOTEL FRONT DESK
Pay range – Hourly plus Gratuity
As needed. Weekends and holidays mandatory
- Assists with luggage upon check in or check out. Escorts guests from the lobby to their room and familiarizes them with the hotel’s services and guest room information. Provides guest services as requested by the front desk and also offers valet parking to guests.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and must be able to drive a standard transmission
- Must have good oral and written communication skills, friendly and able to deal with people, able to prioritize and be multi-task oriented. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Basic math skills.
- Guest service experience a plus, but not necessary.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 6 hours a day. Must be able to push, pull, tug, and carry 50 pounds.
- Environment is very fast paced. Environment is such that requires assistance in other areas as needed.
Restaurant Supervisor (Full Time)
Department: RESTAURANT
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Requires a flexible schedule Evenings, Weekends and Holidays required.
- Supervise Dining Room. Ensure guest satisfaction and that Standards are followed.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills to be able to deal with guests and employees. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals. Must be able to juggle multiple tasks.
- Must have a min. of 2-4 years’ experience with a fine dining establishment or have comparable education and/or experience. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Dishwasher
Department: RESTAURANT
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Requires a flexible schedule based on business, client, and staffing demands.
- Maintain cleanliness all around the kitchen and Food and Beverage Department. Collect used dishes, plates, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking devices, either load into the dish machine or wash by hand in pot sink. Once washed, the items must be dried and put away properly. This role requires working in shifts, as a team and sometimes solo. This is a high-pressure position with a tremendous amount of lifting, twisting, turning, and bending
Qualifications
- Work experience as a dishwasher or on a wait staff
- Have worked in a kitchen before

Reservations Supervisor (Regular Full-time)
Department: RESERVATIONS
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Requires a flexible schedule based on business, client, and staffing demands. Evenings, Weekends, & Holidays
- Assists Reservations Manager to oversee the entire Reservations Department. Must have full knowledge of how to perform the Reservations Consultant and Coordinator positions. Handles the reservations process for large social groups up to 12 without private dining space.
- Makes weekly schedule for Reservations. Assists with weekly payroll and submits to Human Resources. Assists Reservations Agents with problems, questions, or concerns. Have a working knowledge of the Spa, Sales and Front Desk areas and how they relate to Reservations. Maintains and organizes completed credit card authorization forms. Trains all new Reservations Agents. Follows all duties of the Reservations Consultant.
- Follows all policies and company standards and procedures. Performs various assignments as directed by department manager. Assists with the current room status for online reservation websites. Assists with coverage for callouts. Books groups of 8 to 12 people come overnight or day spa with meeting space or private dining. Assists the Reservations Manager with problem solving guest issues/complaints.
- High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Reservations or Hotel Front Office. Ability to type. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and fellow associates. Ability to handle customer complaints and come to a fair and equitable solution Ability to do basic math and use a calculator.
- Ability to sit or stand for 6-8 hours at a time. Ability to travel all over the property when necessary for training or delivering necessary reports or documents
- The environment of the reservation office is professional, and customer service driven. The environment is one large room with up to 8 reservationists answering phones and booking reservations.
Assistant Spa Director (Full-time)
Department: SPA
- The Assistant Spa Director will work closely with the Spa Director to oversee all aspects of the day-to-day Spa & Salon operations and related services ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient workflows and a positive team environment. Assists in oversight of the spa and its financial performance, provide guidance and oversight of the implementation of strategic initiatives at the spa. Directly responsible for the Guest Service Supervisor, Retail Supervisor, and Spa Attendants. Works directly with the Spa Director in overseeing all spa staff productivity and ensures adequate staffing levels on all areas of the spa operations; treatment execution, inspects and implements necessary service and safety guidelines; and conducts maintenance and other spa site inspections, both indoors and outdoors, walking the spa areas no less than hourly. Must maintain a regular presence on the floor for staff/facility oversite and guest satisfaction. Assist Director with forecasting revenues and expenses for all spa departments. Works directly with the Director in performing and inspecting all spa payrolls.
Nail Technician (Full-time)
Department: SPA TREATMENT
Pay range – Hourly.
Commensurate with Education and Experience
Varied schedules include weekends, holidays and weekday evenings.
- Responsible for providing Hand and Foot therapies as set forth in our Spa Menu of Services. May be trained on other spa body treatments including but not limited to hydrotherapy, body wraps, exfoliation treatments, etc.
Must hold certification and/or licensure for nail care.
Massage Therapist (Part-Time)
Department: SPA TREATMENT
Pay range – Hourly
Commensurate with Education and Experience
Varied schedule to include weekends, holidays and weekday evenings.
- Under the supervision of Spa Management, the incumbent will perform massage therapy and will be trained to perform other spa body treatments including but not limited to hydrotherapy, body wraps, exfoliation treatments, hot stone treatments, etc.
- General knowledge of spa operations, equipment, products and procedures are essential.
- Must be currently licensed as a Massage Therapist in the State of Connecticut. National certification a plus.
Esthetician (Part-Time)
Department: SPA TREATMENT
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Varied schedules include weekends, holidays and weekday evenings.
- Responsible for providing Esthetic therapies as set forth in our Spa Menu of Services. In addition to performing esthetic treatments, technicians with Master Esthetician or Cosmetician/ Cosmetologist certification may be trained on other spa body treatments including but not limited to hydrotherapy, body wraps, exfoliation treatments, etc. Analyzes skin to ascertain condition and prepare for treatment therapy. Continual skin assessment to recommend specific product types and or service upgrades. Educates guest throughout steps of treatment and in follow up home care with the retail recommendation.
- Must be a licensed Esthetician. A copy of the Esthetician license must be provided for terms of employment. Must have good interpersonal skills. Must be able to prioritize and be multi-tasked. Must possess proficient esthetic therapist/body work skills and be willing & able to learn more. Must be a High School Graduate. Must be a licensed graduate of a 400-600 hours accredited Esthetic program. Experience is desired. Guest service experience necessary. Computer experience is necessary. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to perform a minimum of six hours of consecutive treatments Must be able to stand for a minimum of 6 hours a day while giving treatments or training to give treatments using repetitive motions. Must be able to push, pull, tug, lift, and carry up to 20 lbs. in the preparation of all treatments and training for treatments.
- The work environment is fast paced, with a high volume of guests, employee, and management interactions.
- Must be able to work with steam, aromatherapies, Phyto-therapies, nut oils, massage oils and lotions, product mixes, hot stones, cold stones, wet rooms, linens and floral and vegetable materials without allergy or reaction.
Housekeeping Supervisor (Full-Time)
Department: HOUSE KEEPING
Varied schedules include weekends, holidays and weekday evenings and day.
Supervises, trains, and inspects performance of all housekeeping staff. Ensures that all assignments are completed according to the standards set by the Inn. Has the ability to perform all line level staff duties as necessary including Room Attendant, Laundry Attendant and Houseperson to ensure efficient completion of daily housekeeping tasks.
Minimum of three (3) years of housekeeping experience required.
Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
Laundry Attendant (Part-Time)
Department: HOUSE KEEPING
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
As needed. Weekends required.
Primary role is performing laundry duties under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor. Secondary role is providing support to the Housekeeping Attendants on the floor, as needed, including but not limited to stripping rooms, delivering clean linen, and assist in the cleaning of rooms.
Prior Laundry or Housekeeping experience is preferred but not necessary.
